学校简介：Queen Ethelburga's is a large coeducational boarding school located near York. The school welcomes 1120 students from 5 years old through to 18 years old. The student community includes approximately 600 boarders and 500 day students who can follow a UK curriculum of GCESs, iGCSEs, BTECs and/ or A-Levels. There are strong academic standards across the school and students are encouraged to have high expectations for their achievements and career prospects. There is a wide curriculum available enabling students to pursue their individual interests and aspirations across a range of fields. The boarding accommodation at QE is among the best in the UK and is fitted with a kitchen/lounge area, plasma TV, music centre, safe, iron and ironing board, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. All accommodation is en-suite, air-conditioned and designed for a maximum of 4 students. QE is also proud of its excellent sports facilities with a large Sports Hall, 25 metre indoor heated swimming pool and fitness centre, grass and AstroTurf sport pitches and all-weather tennis courts. Students can participate in a variety of sports including football, rugby, basketball, cricket, hockey, tennis, athletics, swimming and gymnastics. Our Collegiate motto which is known as the Hill Standard, "To be the best that I can with the gifts that I have" lies at the heart of everything that we try to achieve at QE.
