学校简介：Princess Helena College is an independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 11 to 18. Established in 1820 and set in 100 acres of beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, the school combines academic excellence with a wide range of co-curricular opportunities and outstanding individual attention. The environment, ethos and opportunities we offer all contribute to inspiring every student to find and nurture their specific interests - be that intellectual, sporting or creative - and empowering them to achieve more than they ever thought possible. Each student is appointed a mentor whose role it is to recognise their individual talents and support with advice & inspiration. Princess Helena College has high academic standards and our students consistently achieve ‘value added’ grades, this highlights how students achieve grades significantly higher than their expected grades. An extended school day is run from 4pm to 6pm, when students can take part in supervised prep or co-curricular activities. Co-curricular activities range from DofE and Forensics Club to Debating and Photography. The Boarding House at PHC is shared by boarders from year 7 – year 13 from a range of countries around the world. Boarding staff are dedicated to providing a safe, happy and caring environment in which all boarders are able to develop and flourish. A flow of information between boarding, academic and pastoral staff ensures a joined-up approach to the all-round care of boarders at all times. In September 2019, the school opened its doors to boys for the first-time offering entry to day boys in Years 7 and 12. In September 2021 day and boarding boys will be welcomed into Years 7, 8, 9 and 12.
